Plumbing & Gas Services

We offer a brilliant service to try and make things as easy as possible for you. We organise for one of our team to arrive at the premises and locate each boiler and/or hot water cylinder. We then attach a QR code to each appliance.

Each appliance then gets logged onto our system with all the necessary details including a pin point location on a map to help an engineer locate the exact location of the appliance in question. If there is ever an issue with the appliance you can scan the QR code and attach a message which will then be sent direct to our office.

We can then organise an engineer to arrive swiftly and resolve the issue.

We offer a range of different servicing and maintenance contracts; this can also cover servicing of all TMV’s and gas proving systems. We can make our servicing contracts extremely individual to your schools’ requirements, at a competitive price. We ensure all our engineers are Enhanced DBS checked, meaning we can rapidly respond to issues.

If you wish to use us as your servicing and maintenance provider, we can offer a guarantee regarding breakdowns and call outs. This will mean you will be our priority and we will aim to arrive within 2-4hours from first call out. This service is a 24hour call out service.

Boiler installations and upgrades for schools involve the fitting of new boilers or enhancing existing systems to improve efficiency and performance. This process is crucial for maintaining an optimal heating system that meets the energy demands of larger spaces efficiently.

The installation or upgrade begins with a detailed assessment of the premises to determine the most suitable boiler type and size, considering factors such as the area to be heated, existing infrastructure, and specific school needs. Our Gas Safe Registered engineer will then install the new boiler, ensuring it is properly integrated with the existing heating and plumbing systems. This may include upgrading associated pipework and controls to handle the new system’s requirements.

Regular maintenance following installation ensures the boiler operates at peak efficiency. Upgrading to more energy-efficient boilers can significantly reduce energy costs and environmental impact, making it a strategic investment for schools aiming to enhance their operational sustainability and comply with current energy regulations.

Science classroom gas proving systems for schools are essential safety installations designed to monitor and control the gas supply in science laboratories. These systems ensure that gas is only available when required and shut it off automatically if a fault or potential hazard is detected, such as a leak or sudden pressure change. A gas proving system enhances safety by allowing teachers to control the gas supply and preventing unauthorised access when the lab is not in use. Installation involves fitting gas detectors, control panels, and shut-off valves, all of which are connected to the classroom’s gas supply. Regular maintenance and testing of the system are crucial to ensure reliable operation and compliance with safety standards, creating a safer learning environment for students and staff.

Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) testing involves checking the functionality and safety of valves that blend hot and cold water to deliver water at a safe temperature. This prevents scalding and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. Our qualified engineers will assess the TMV’s ability to maintain a consistent temperature even when the incoming water pressures or temperatures change. The testing includes verifying that the valve reacts correctly to adjustments and returns to a safe temperature setting after any fluctuations. Regular testing is essential for schools to ensure the continued safety of these devices for staff and students.

Whether it’s a small job, such as replacing a tap or sink, to installing the plumbing for a commercial kitchen, we can help your business.

Gas testing and purging for a school involve specialised procedures designed to ensure the safety and efficiency of gas installations. This process is crucial for detecting any hazardous conditions, such as leaks or contamination within gas lines, and for ensuring that new or altered gas systems are free from air and other impurities. The testing component includes checking the integrity of gas pipes and connections using advanced detection methods to identify any leaks or faults. Purging involves clearing out unwanted gases or air from the lines and replacing them with the appropriate gas at the correct pressure to ensure optimal operation. These practices are essential for maintaining safety standards, preventing gas-related incidents, and complying with UK health and safety regulations.

Fan convector heater installation for schools involves fitting these efficient heating units in appropriate locations to provide quick and effective space heating. These heaters work by drawing in cold air, heating it, and then expelling the warm air using a fan, ensuring rapid distribution of heat throughout the space.

The installation process begins with a thorough assessment of the premises to determine the most effective locations for the heaters, considering factors such as room size, layout, and insulation. Our qualified technician will then install the units, connecting them to the electrical system and ensuring they are securely mounted and properly ventilated.

Proper installation is essential to maximise the efficiency and performance of fan convector heaters, ensuring they deliver even heating and operate reliably. It is recommended that these heaters are installed by professional technicians who can also provide guidance on their operation and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

We can remove old or inefficient radiators and the install new units to enhance heating efficiency and performance within school premises. This service is crucial for maintaining a comfortable and energy-efficient environment, especially in larger buildings where heating consistency is essential. Our team will assess the existing heating system, recommend suitable replacements, and ensure that the new radiators are correctly sized and positioned for optimal heat distribution. The installation process includes disconnecting the old units, fitting the new radiators, and integrating them into the existing heating system. This service not only improves the heating effectiveness but also helps in reducing energy costs and meeting the schools sustainability goals.

Gas Safety Certification for a school is a crucial requirement that ensures all gas installations and appliances comply with current UK safety standards. This certification is carried out by one of our Gas Safe registered engineers, who inspects and tests the gas systems annually to check for proper installation, operation, and maintenance. Our engineer will look for potential hazards such as gas leaks, faulty appliances, and inadequate ventilation. Obtaining this certification is mandatory, demonstrating compliance with health and safety regulations. It is essential for ensuring the safety of all staff and students and for legal compliance, helping to prevent accidents and potential legal liabilities. Regular renewals of the Gas Safety Certificate are required to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
